Xenia Andreevna Rodzianko (1881-1970).
(In Russian : Ксения Андреевна Родзянко).
Born in 1881 in Russia. Received professional education, served as a Vice-Chairwoman of Society of Promotion of Private Nurses for hospitals. In 1914 she worked as a nurse at the front of the World War I. In April 1920 Xenia Rodzianko was arrested as a member of the Russian organization "White Cross" , sentenced to imprisonment and sent to the Russian Ivazhsky Concentration Camp until the end of the Civil War . After her release she returned to Petrograd, Russia. In 1928 she was arrested again and sentenced to exile in Irkutsk Region,Russia. In 1933 she had received permission to travel abroad. She lived a short period of the time in Paris, France. From 1934 she lived in Prague,Czechoslovakia and worked in Refugee Assistance Committee. She was a nurse and the sister of mercy of President of Czechoslovakia Thomas Masaryk until the last days of his life. In 1938 Xenia Rodzianko moved to the United States, worked as an administrator and as a nurse at the Tolstoy Foundation, where she died in 1970.
