Paul William "Jack" Bagwell, Jr., 83, resident of 312 Sagewood Road, husband of Willie Mae Allen Bagwell, went to be with his Lord and Savior February 21, 2013. Born in Laurens County, April 22, 1929, he was a son of the late Paul William, Sr. and Sarah Anne Blum Bagwell. Jack began a career in the automobile business at a young age starting with Moore Chevrolet as a mechanic. He owned and operated his own mechanic shop and later worked with Dickey Chevrolet where he began as the shop manager. That led into new car sales and he later became new car sales manager. He also served as new car sales manager with Ben Milton Chevrolet and decided to open his own business, Bagwell's Auto Sales, Inc., in 1980. For over thirty years he was Owner/President of the business providing quality used cars to residents of Greenwood and the surrounding area. Jack was a very active member of Hodges Church of God and the Senior Men's Sunday School Class of the church. He also formerly served as a deacon and church treasurer. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Surviving, in addition to his loving and caring wife of sixty-four years of the home, are two daughters, Ann Campbell and husband Bob and Jean Parsons and husband Jimmy, both of Hodges; twin sons, Ronnie Bagwell and wife Tammy and Donnie Bagwell and wife Connie, both of Greenwood; ten grandchildren, Shelley Renshaw and husband Jason, Michael Parsons and wife Amy, Melanie Davis and husband Cal, Chrissy Phillips and husband Sam, Amanda Hall and husband Tanner, Beth Graham and husband Brandon, Brandon Bagwell and wife Eliza, Josh Bagwell, Christopher Bagwell and Taylor Bagwell; fifteen great-grandchildren, Brianna King, McKenzie Graham, Kaitlyn Phillips, Savanna Graham, Lauren Phillips, Landen Parsons, Alyssa Graham, Sarah Renshaw, Perrin Bagwell, Megan Renshaw, Annslee Hall, Sawyer Bagwell, Aiden Hall, Blair Bagwell and Aiden Bagwell; sister, Mildred Adams of Greenwood; and brother, Johnny Bagwell of Anderson. Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Ruth Bagwell; brothers, J.W. Bagwell, Bob Bagwell, Melvin Bagwell, Joe Bagwell and Larry Bagwell; and great-grandson, Conner Parsons.
