The marriage of Miss Leta Pearl Sutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Sutton, former well-known residents of Marion, occurred Wednesday evening, June 14, at their home in Ottumwa, Iowa. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Robt. J. Locke, pastor of the First Congregational church, in the presence of seventy guests. Concerning the bridal couple the Ottumwa Courier had the following in its half column writeup of the wedding: "Having resided in Ottumwa almost her entire life, the acquaintance of the bride is extensive and many are her friends who offer congratulations. She is a graduate of the Ottumwa high schoo, a member of the class of 1907. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Cremer, of Agency, Iowa, and although he has never made Ottumwa his permanent home, he nevertheless is well known here, especially among the young men. He is a graduate of the Agency high school class of 1907. At present he is engaged as a traveling salesman for Swift & Co. Mr. and Mrs. Cremer will reside in Boone, where the groom has a new home in readiness for their reception." Mrs. Ed Kemnitz, cousin of the bride, was the only one of the Marion relatives that attended the wedding.
