Ettna was married to Cyril Marion Trowbridge on December 26, 1906. She was a South Bay resident for 62 years and moved to California in 1906. She was a member of the El Redondo Chapter of the D.A.R. ( Daughters of the Confederacy ), The Redondo Beach Deers, Redondo Beach Women's Club and an honorary life member and past President of the Central School ( now McCandless ) Parent-Teachers association. She was involved in many Welfare activities in the community and was the founder of the Well Baby Clinic in Redondo Beach. Cyril & Ettna had five children, Marion Vest Trowbridge Castine, Cyril Marion Trowbridge Jr, Natalie Trowbridge Allen, Marjorie Trowbridge Travis Mikeska & Helen Trowbridge Keeling Nichols.
