Arthur was the son of Peter Ford Boone, and Maria (Austin) Boone. He married Nancy Ann Ijams about 1858. They had their first son Joseph B in 1859 in Concord, Greene County, Arkansas. They had a son William in Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi about 1866, who died before 1880, and another son John Arthur on March 31, 1872 in Corinth. There was also a fourth child sometime along there that didn't live to adulthood either, as reported by Nancy Ann on later censuses.
Arthur L. Boone was the 3 x great grandson of George Boone and Mary Milton (Maugridge) Boone who were the immigrant ancestors of the famous Boone family, and grandparents of the famous explorer Colonel Daniel Boone. His ancestor Hezekiah was their grandson, and brother to my ancestor Josiah Noah Boone.
