Donald D. Styers, 59, l200 S. Eighth St., Beatrice, died Thursday, July l4, l988, in an Omaha hospital. Born May 29, 1929, in Jackson, North Carolina. Moved to Beatrice from Kansas City, Mo. in 1972. Served in the US Army in WWII.
Survivors: sons--Donald R. and Joseph A. Styers both of Beatrice, NE and Richard L. of Hastings, NE; daughters--Pamela and Tamitha Styers, both of Beatrice; four grandchildren, brothers--Stanley Shores Styers, Frank I. and Abram A., all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sisters--Millie Humphrey of Columbia, South Carolina; Ina Belle Lackey of Charlotte, North Carolina; Annie M. Stinson of Yadkinville, North Carolina and Jettie M. Fix of Lewisville, North Carolina. Preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Joe and Ada Styers; two brothers and one sister. (Harrell Hubert Styers (1907-1977)( and Joseph C. Styers, Jr.(- l9l7-l984)--and sister Ollie Ada Styers Mackie (l923-l964) preceded Donald in death).
Funeral services pending at Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. Memorial established with the funeral home in charge.
