She was employed at various locations including the Campbell Soup Company at Tecumseh, Nebraska, the Beatrice Townhouse and the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. She also worked at home health care nursing. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Beatrice, Nebraska. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking and craft work.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Styers and his wife Mayetta, Joseph Styers and Richard Styers all of Beatrice, Nebraska. Two daughters, Pamela Styers and Tamitha Styers both of Beatrice, Nebraska. Eight grandchildren. One great grandson. One sister, Nyla Akin and her husband Ray Akin of Bolivar, Missouri. Two brothers, Cydney Ray Bartholomew and his wife Cynthia of Onawa, Iowa and Jimmy Joe Bartholomew and his wife Wanda of Gilbert, Arizona. Special friend, Roger T. Wollenburg of Beatrice, Nebraska. Her father, Loran E. Bartholomew Sr. of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellyn (Lawrence) Bartholomew, her husband, Donald Styers who died in l988, one brother, Loren Bartholomew Jr. and one sister, Patricia Kay Bartholomew.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December l0, l999 at l0:00 A.M. at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, Nebraska with Pastor James Fandrey officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice, Nebraska. A memorial has been established with the Fox Funeral Home in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, Nebraska from 5:00 P.M. Thursday evening until time of service on Friday.
