Funeral services for Juanita Edwards Best, 81, of Beaumont, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, in the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home chapel in Woodville with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

Officiating at the services will be Brother Hails Taylor. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville. Serving as pallbearers will be Best's grandsons, Scott Fountain, Larry Fountain, Lance Fountain, Randall Best, Darrell Best and Vic Potter.

A native of Colmesneil and a former long time resident of Woodville, Best lived in Beaumont for the past four years and had formerly worked in sales for the Fair Department Store and J.B. Best. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodville. Best is survived by her sons, Joe Best of Milam, Rev. James Best of Frisco, Alabama, and Benford Best of Kountze; a daughter, Ann Fountain of Beaumont; brothers, L.C. Edwards of Lumberton, and Quinton Edwards of Lufkin; a sister Beryl McCorvy of Port Arthur; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
