Mary Alice McDonald was the daughter of George Martin "Mart" and Sarah Matilda (Banks) McDonald.

She married John C. Williams on Mar. 19, 1892 in Morgan Co., OH. They had at least four children:

- Clyde L. (1892-1963)
- Everett Elsworth (1895-1977)
- Maud (1899-1899)
- Nellie Melba (1902-1929)

**Note: Mary Alice's birth record lists her year of birth as 1869, but her grave marker lists it as 1868**

Mrs. Williams Dies Monday At Age 91

Glouster - Mrs. Mary Alice Williams, 91, Glouster Route 2, died Monday morning at Hillcrest Rest Home, Athens, following a short illness.
She was born in Athens County, a daughter of the late Mart and Matilda Banks McDonald.
Surviving are two sons, Everett, Athens Route 2, and Clyde, Athens Route 4; a sister, Mrs. Addie Cooper, California; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband, John, and two daughters died previously.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Wiley Funeral Home with the Rev. Miles Hoon officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery.
