Emma Jane (Brewer) Ellis, age 65 of Eminence, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. Daughter of the late Leonard Scott and Faye Aline (Birch) Brewer, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witness in Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Casey.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Ellis of Eminence; daughter, Sheila Case (David) of Cropper; sons, Lanny Roberts of Eminence, Matthew Jackson (Pamela Jean) of Bethlehem, Jeremy Shawn Ellis of West Virginia; sisters, Patsy Jennings of Eminence, Shirley Coons (Jack) of Eminence, Marilyn Lyons (Charles) of Bethlehem; a brother, Paul "Peanuts" Brewer (Debbie) of Port Royal; 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren.
The funeral service is at 1 PM on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Jim Jones of Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witness in Shelbyville. Interment will be in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 AM until service time on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
