Tammy Chapman Bryant, age 49, of West Main Street, Forest City, N.C., died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at her residence.

Tammy was born May 7, 1963 in Spartanburg, S.C. to Pete Chapman and the late Edna Ramsey Butler.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of East Rutherford Church of God.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ralph Butler and one brother, Rick Chapman.

Besides her father, she is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tommy Ray Bryant; one son, Joshua Bryant and fiancé, Brooke Stacey of Spindale; one daughter, Courtney Watson and husband, Nick of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Jan Fisher of Landrum, S.C. and Patricia Beard and husband, Kyle of Caroleen; two brothers, Jerry Chapman and wife, Brenda of Ellenboro and William Butler and wife, Angie of Forest City. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Hailey Watson, Maddison Watson, J.R. Bryant, Ryland Bryant, three nephews and one niece.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jeremy Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
