Geno Roeting, 67, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday morning, February 20, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Francis and Alice (Brosey) Roeting.

Geno worked as a maintenance mechanic at NCR, Mount Joy and retired after 38 years. He was also employed by the Mount Joy Cemetery Association as a caretaker and enjoyed it immensely.

Geno always liked to stay busy, whether he was building things from wood, or working on lawn equipment. Geno was happy working in his garage and lending a helping hand to others. He also liked hunting and visiting Raystown Lake. Geno was a grateful man who enjoyed life to the fullest.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 29 years, Stella (Templin) Roeting and siblings Herbert, Donald, Johnny, Charlie, Francis (Shorty), Barb, Betty and Faye.

In addition to his wife Josie, he is survived by his brothers Jim, Bob and Joe; sisters Kitty, Nancy, Mary, Bonnie and Sandy; many nieces and nephews; and stepdaughter Chelsa, wife of James Burfield, and their son Jack.

A special thanks goes out to Hospice and Community Care and the Red Team for the personalized care they provided to Geno.
