Mrs. Harden had been the housekeeper for Purdue University President, Dr. Fred Hovde, and his family. She was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church and Jenks Rest Senior Citizens.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Wilbur E. Harden of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Maxine King of Slidell, LA; two sisters, Mrs. L. Pearl Stevenson of Lafayette and Mrs. Lucille Wilson of San Jose, CA; one brother, Gilbert Arden of Oakland, CA; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Albert Arden.
