Sandra Lee Hartman, 50, of Burlington, died at 2:20 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born May 7, 1962, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Robert Lee and Carolyn Jane Phillips Sommerfeld. On May 21, 1983, she married Ross Steven Hartman at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Burlington.

Sandy along with her husband was the owner and operator of Southeast Iowa Garage Door Specialists.

She was an avid animal lover being involved with animal rescue and was involved with Aicardi Syndrome Foundation. She enjoyed boating on the Mississippi river, driving her red mustang, and especially spending time with her family and friends and her three favorite dogs, Faith, Molly Mae and Bailey Bear.

She was a 1980 graduate of Burlington High School.

Survivors include her husband,two sons,one daughter,her mother, one brother,one sister,sister-in-law; and nieces and nephews,and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
