Grace Franklin Hunter, 85 of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, February 21, 2013 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Wayne County, Ga. native was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her son, Leavy Allen Godwin; sister, LaFaye Burkholder and a brother, Billy and Eugene Franklin.
Survivors are a daughter, Paula Deal of Jesup, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and B.J. Godwin of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Joanne and Jerry Bennett of Screven, Ga., Margie Rigdon of Jesup, Ga.; brothers, Leland Franklin of Jesup, Ga. and Dickey Franklin of Screven, Ga.; grandchildren, Monica and David Hamline of Crown Point, In., George William "Butch" and Maila Mallinson, III of Jacksonville, Fla., Heather Godwin;
4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Interment will be in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 P.M. prior to services at the funeral home.
