Mr. Howard "Bud" Franklin Pierce, age 86, of Badin Lake died Thursday, February 21 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Center United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Jesse Clubb. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Pierce was born January 4, 1927 in Davidson County to Banner Franklin Pierce and Annie Hill Pierce.

He owned his own grading company, was a US Navy veteran, and was member of Center United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Anna May Pierce and by a son; Howard Pierce, Jr.

Survivors include; sons; Larry Pierce of Badin Lake and Michael Pierce of Knoxville, Tenn. daughters; Donna Pierce Hurley of Badin Lake and Linda Pierce Ottaviano of Pottstown, PA. 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will see friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of Lakemont Rd. Memorials can be made to Center United Methodist Church.
