Dona J. Coy, 77, of Sullivan, passed away at 11:43 a.m. Thursday (February 21, 2013) in her residence.

Celebration of Life services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, with the Pastor Kathy Prideaux officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to the Moultrie County Chapter of the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net.

Dona was born June 30, 1935 in Sikeston, Missouri, the daughter of Lowal E. and Beulah Crandall Ragon. Dona had been a babysitter for many of the children in Sullivan for many years. She was the member of the Sullivan Church of God in Sullivan and had served on the Benevolent Committee and was a member of the Women of the Church of God. She enjoyed playing cards and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. She married Charles C. Coy on September 30, 1960 in Wickliffe, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1991.

Surviving are her children; Kathy Glover of Decatur, Ron (Angie) Coy of Sullivan, Rhonda (Richard) Creek of Toledo, Carla Coy of Sullivan, Tim (Kim) Coy of Sullivan; sister, Shirley McCormick of Stewardson; grandchildren, Amy (Stu) Collins of Sterling, Jeremy Owen of McHenry, Misha (Kris) Hutchings of O'Fallon, Chris Coy of Sullivan, Brooke Coy of St. Charles, Missouri, Erica (John) Czekanski of Mt. Zion, Travis Hess of Decatur, Ryan Hess of Sullivan, Megan Coy of Herscher, Trent Coy of Charleston, Mallory Coy of Sullivan and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and great grandson, Cody Ohm.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. John's Hospice for their compassionate care.
