Arthur was a son of John W. and Sarah Andrews Burr. Sarah was a daughter of Milo and Roxana Andrews.

He was the husband of Olive Christina (née Campbell) Burr.

Arthur was a life-long resident of Dryden according to his obituary. He was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Olive Campbell Burr; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Shaw Baitsholts of New Woodstock and Miss Ruth L. Burr, of Dryden and Rome; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Lathrop, Town of Dryden; a granddaughter, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Shaw.
