He wa born in Ipswich, January 22, 1915, son of the late Grover Sr. & Corrine (Morin)Bailey. He was educated in local schools and graduated from North West Institue of Medical Technology in Minnesota in 1935.
For more than 30 years Mr. Bailey was the director of the Cable Hospital laboratory and X-ray departments, retiring im 1972.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Grover "Pete" Bailey III of W.VA.; daughters, Carole Neary of Texas and Susan Bailey of Ipswich; a brother, Charles Bailey of South Carolina; two sisters, Madeleine Richardson of Peabody and Marie Whiston of Ipswich; seven grandchildren, Douglas & Brent Bailey of PA., John Neary of Andover; Peter Neary of N.J.; Chris Neary of Texas; Brad & Greg Amazeen of Ipswich, and a great[granddaughter, Elizabeth Frances Bailey of Pennsylvania.
Funeral Tuesday from Carleton Funeral Home, Ipswich, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection in the Church of St. Joseph. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Ipswich.
