Funeral Services Held For Kewaunee Co. Woman
Funeral services were held recently from the St. Mary's church at
Tisch Mills for Mrs. Peter Slaby, Sr., Franklin, Kewaunee county.
Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Shevchick
of Loyal and Mrs. Adolph Stangel of Tisch Mills; four sons, Albert
of Manitowoc, Peter Jr. of Two Rivers, and Anton and Frank at home;
two sisters, Mrs. Frank Polivka of Franklin and Mrs. J. Schlies of
Kossuth; a brother, Anton Hochman of Kossuth; and eight grandchildren.

Mary Slaby was born in Bohemia (Czech Republic) in 1868 -- the 1900 Federal Census says more specifically, October 1868. These records show she came to America 1880-1881.
