Amy Pratt, 35, passed away peacefully on Feb. 19, 2013, ending her courageous 11-year battle with brain cancer.

She was born to Robert and Fay Pratt on Jan. 16, 1978.

Amy was a native of Blythe and she resided there for most of her life. She graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1996 and was a student at Palo Verde Community College.

Amy will always be remembered as a loving daughter, big sister, proud mother, and loyal friend. She was known, not only for her strength to the end, but for the joy and humor she brought to many throughout her life. Amy may not have been given a long life, but she filled her years with many memories that will remain with us as we live on with her in our hearts.

She gave beyond what any warrior should, yet stayed true to her character. No, she did not lose her fight, she just no longer has the battle.

Amy is survived by her parents; children, Megan Rhae nee Morgan and Robert "Robby" Farrance; sister, Ann (Dan) Walters of Front Royal, Va.; grandma, Pearl Pratt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services for Amy will be held on Feb. 23, 2013 at Frye Chapel & Mortuary, at 1 p.m. A gathering for family and friends of Amy will be at the Church of Christ, 481 N. Lovekin Blvd. (corner of Chanslorway and Lovekin) following the services.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Blythe Cancer Resource Center or Shriner's Hospitals.
