Mr. Chesney was born July 14, 1907 in Johnson Co. He spent his younger years in the Natoma area and had lived in Paradise for the past 35 years. He married Earleen Woodyard Feb. 15, 1935 at Luray. He was a farmer and a carpenter.
He is survived by his widow of the home; 3 sons, Merlin of Soldotna, Alaska; Arlin of Griggsville, IL; and Dean of Houston, TX; 2 brothers, Kent of Woodston, KS and Everett of Natoma; a sister Mrs. George (Ruth) Morgan of Hutchinson; 4 grandchildren.
