Nancy was born July 6, 1941, in St. Louis, to the late Lloyd "Pee Wee" and Jeanie (Caldwell) West. Nancy was united in marriage to John W. Dorsey in St. Louis, Oct. 28, 1961. John survives of the home.
She graduated from Affton High School in 1960. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Arnold Baptist Church in Arnold. She was a previous president of the Moolah Shriners Black Horse Patrol Lady's Club and a former Worthy Matron of the Golden Link Chapter of the Eastern Star.
From 1970 until 2006, Nancy worked as the secretary for Nancy and John's business, Southern Products, which was located in Bridgeton. Together, Nancy and her husband John, built, owned, and operated Oakcreek Whitetail Ranch; a high fence deer and exotic animal hunting resort until 2004. Nancy and John then retired to their ranch in Bland where they raised quarter horses. Nancy loved her children and grandchildren and was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, painting, and reading.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Max West.
Nancy is also survived by three sons, Michael John Dorsey and wife Vernie, Mark Thomas Dorsey and his wife Jeannie and William Louis Dorsey and his wife Deana; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Holly, Erik, Sarah, Adam, Nathan, Allyssa and Emily; two sisters, Mary Kruse of Affton, and Sherry Roedder and her husband John of Arnold; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Interment in Countryside Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Owensville.
