Alvin P. Blass, 48, died at the family residence 657 W. 9th st., following an illness of four weeks. Born Sept. 1878, he resided in Erie all his life. He was employed as a shipping clerk at the Erie Steam Shovel Co. Surviving besides his mother, Mrs. Peter Blass, are two sisters both of Erie, Mrs. William Decker and Mrs. Henry Schacht. Rev.E. Maclay Gearhart pastor of the Luther Memorial church officiated at the services which were held Wednesday afternoon.
