Mr. Wm. C. Lamb, son of Col. Wm. Lamb, died in Newberne, N.C. Thursday of intermittent fever after an illness of only two or three days. Mr. Lamb was en route to Norfolk from Florida at the time of his death, which occurred at one of the hotels at that place. He was a native of this city, having a large number of friends, who will deeply lament his death. He was a gentleman of bright conversationalist powers and extremely popular. His remains will arrive in Norfolk this morning over the Seaboard road.
