Jeanne Estelle Olson, 89, of Greenville.

Born in Galesburg, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Laura Mabel Gabrielson Scott, and was the widow of Sam Charles Olson. She earned a B.S. degree from Knox College. Before her retirement, she was a schoolteacher with Sunny Side School in Illinois. Mrs. Olson was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Christine Monson; a son, Gregg Monson and his wife, Sandra; two grandsons, Stephen Monson and his wife, Jackie, and Jonathan Monson and his wife, Erika; and a sister, Helen Holmes of Roseville, Minn. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rex R. Monson.

Memorials may be made to Hampton Park Christian School Band Fund, 875 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, with visitation prior to the service, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.thomasmcafee.com.
