Lola H. Lee, age 104, of Duncanville, Texas and formerly of Huntington, passed away at 3:58 a.m. Wednesday (February 20, 2013), at Crestview Court Nursing Facility, Cedar Hill, Texas.
Family will receive friends from 12 noon - 2 p.m. Sunday (February 24, 2013) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana with the Funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Dr. Veryl C. Roth will officiate.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers those desiring, may make memorial contributions to Pilcher's Chapel United Methodist Church in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.
Lola was born November 2, 1908, in Polk Township, Huntington County, to John and Eva (Woods) Hacker. She graduated in 1928 from Monument City High School. On November 1, 1941 Lola married Verley E. Lee in Huntington. They shared 52 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 11, 1993.
Lola was a retired homemaker who spent most of her life in Huntington County. She and Verley spent most summers at their lake house on Webster Lake; she also enjoyed cooking and needlework and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lola is survived by a daughter - Cheryl Ann (Mike) McClure of Duncanville, Texas; three grandchildren - Deborah Brock of Marietta, Georgia, James (Jody) Lefevere and Jeffrey (Lindsay) Lefevere both of Carmel; step grandchildren Keith (Mary) McClure of Austin, Texas and Scott (Karen) McClure of Forney Texas; four great-grandchildren - Sydney and Kendall Brock of Marietta, Georgia and Libby and Gigi Lefevere of Carmel; step great grandchildren -Ryan, Jonathon, Clinton and Suzann McClure.
Her parents and five brothers - Dale, Dean, Glen, Robert and Kenneth Hacker preceded her in death.
