She was a member of the Brunswick Church of God, charter member of Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1136, Chapter No. 660 Loyal Order of Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of Steadman-Keenan Post No. 96 of the American Legion, all of Brunswick.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Kaye Lowery and husband Terry of Brunswick and Crystal Dean of Brunswick; a son, Pete Carey of Knoxville; six grandchildren, Charles Carey, Brandon Carey, Jodie Thomas, Jamilyn Troxwell, Carey Dean and Corey Darr; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Rd., Brunswick. The Rev. Noni Sigler will officiate.
