Barbara Wilson Montague, 78, of Atlanta, Ga., died July 14, 2004.
She was born in Detroit, Mich. attended University School of Nashville, Class of 1943, and graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga. in 1947. in Atlanta, she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Roswell. She loved playing the piano, reading and needlework. Palatka was her home for many years. She was extremely active in her church and community. She was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church and also president of the Presbyterian Women. She was honored as a life member of the Woman's Club of Palatka, where she served as president and as treasurer for 25 years. In addition, she was president of the Putnam County Medical Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Fairfax Eubank Montague of Palatka, where she lived before returning to Atlanta.
She is survived by her four children; Sally Montague Murray of Atlanta, Ga.; David Fairfax Montague of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; Tyler Clark Montague of Valdosta, Ga.; Lisa Ashlyn Montague-Hill of Marietta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 21 at First Presbyterian church in Palatka.
