ALBERT B. GROVES, A.I.A. was a noted architect for many notable civic, fraternal, religious and residential commissions in the greater St. Louis area, among them the Masonic Temple, the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Scottish Rite Cathedral, noted homes in University City (a turn-of-the-century St. Louis Beaux Arts suburb), and other buildings which are now noted city landmarks, some on the National Register of Historic Places. Mr. Groves had an extensive architectural practice in the region for more than 35 years, several in partnership with other architects.
After his death, he was entombed in Valhalla Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Valhalla Cemetery, next to his wife and another relative.
