Mazie H. Becker, of Hanover, entered into eternal slumber March 1.

She was the daughter of the late John Frederick and Cora Ellen Mandella (Kump) Wentz.

Mrs. Becker was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover, the Parkville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the Harold H. Bair Post 14 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at the former Hanover Cordage Co. for several years as well as did house cleaning and waitressing in addition to being a homemaker.

She was the wife of the late Carroll Joseph Becker, Sr., who departed this life May 17, 1990, and is survived by four sons: Carroll J. Becker, Jr. of Hanover, Pius J. Becker of Hanover, Edward C. Becker of Abbottstown, and David R. Becker of Hanover; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and one brother, Burnell K. Wentz of Hanover. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, David J. Wentz, Paul F. Wentz, Clarence E. Wentz, Irvin G. Wentz, William J. Wentz, and four sisters, Gertrude E. Warner, Mary A. Stuffle, Lydia E. Feeser, and Emma L. Wentz.
