Mr. Tony Lamar Woods, age 46 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Standifer Place Health Care in Chattanooga, TN. Tony was born November 11, 1964 in Dalton, Georgia. Tony loved to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors. Tony was a 1983 graduate of Northwest High School and was employed at J & J Industries for twenty eight years.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene D. Woods, sons, Justin Lamar Woods, Wesley Andrew Woods; parents, Frances Louise Mullins, Ronnie S. and Lois Woods; brothers, Timmy Davis, Gary Davis all of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa Dale of Tunnel Hill, GA, Connie and Randy Mitchell of Evansville, IN, Susan Dale of SC, Lorie Bryson of Dalton, GA.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Tony Woods will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Travis Martin officiating. He will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Monday.
