Elizabeth was born in Pickaway Co, OH to Rev Harvey Beal and Sarah Loveless Beal. She moved with her family in 1830 to Tippecanoe Co, IN, where she attended school. She was married to Elliott Holloway 21 Dec 1852 in Tippecanoe Co, IN. Elliott had 5 children from a previous marriage and young Elizabeth took on a ready made family. They moved in 1854 to Newcomb Twp, Champaign Co, IL and there she had 6 children: William Harvey, Harriett Emily (Hanner), Maria Belle (Clark), Mary Beal who died as an infant and was a twin to Maria, Josephine Olive (Dunn) and Anna Eliza (Little).
They were members of Shiloh Methodist Church, Newcomb Twp, Champaign Co, IL.
In 1887, Elliott and Elizabeth moved to Liberal, KS to be near there children who had moved there several years earlier.
Elizabeth wrote poetry and it is cherished by her descendants.
After her husbands death in 1897, she lived with her daughter Harriet Hanner in Liberal, KS. She passed away at the age of 95 years old.
