Troy Andrew Franks, 63, of Florence, passed away Jan. 2, 2011, at ECM Hospital after a brief illness.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with Heath Franks officiating. Burial will be in Barton Cemetery in Colbert County.
Troy was born in Colbert County to Homer (Joe) and Jessie Franks, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a longtime president of the C.P. Club and was an avid collector of Case knives and model cars.
Survivors are his brother, Toe Joe Franks (Patricia); sister, Marie Stowe (Charles); and girlfriend, Ethel Keeton, all of Florence, six nieces and nephews; seven grandnieces and nephews; and four great-grandnieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Franks, Doyle Greenhill, Kyle Behel, Bobby Smith, Anthony Behel and Jason Harbin. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Condrey, Clay Greenhill, Alex Harbin, Seth Keeton and Jake Wood.
