Cindy Sue Chapman, 51, of West Newton, died Friday, June 26, 2009, in West Newton. Born July 7, 1957, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Betty Jane (Rohland) Chapman. She was a former guard at the Westmoreland County Prison and had been a volunteer for the former West Newton Community Ambulance Service. Cindy was a member of First Church of God. She is survived by a sister, Bonnie Pons, of West Newton; two brothers, Jerry Chapman and wife, Gail, of West Newton, and Robert Chapman, of West Newton; the following nieces and nephews: Christine Shotwell and husband Keith, Dennis Pons and wife Deborah, Jerrid Chapman and wife Jennifer, Jeffery Chapman, Jamie Hall and husband Kevin, and Ryan Chapman; a great-nephew, Zachary Pons; her godson, Michael Highducheck; and a beloved dog, Chewy. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 901 Vine St., West Newton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Elizabeth A.
