Willa Dean "Deanie" Gaillard Allen, 81 of Ruidoso, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2013 after a brief illness. Services are scheduled for 1:30 PM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Beau Blue, Youth Director at Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.

Willa Dean and her twin sister, Wanda Jean Gaillard Pickering, were born on December 1, 1931 to Philippe DeFever and Hazel (Robertson) Gaillard in Texhoma, OK. Willa Dean began her life in the panhandle of Oklahoma on the family farm during the dust bowl days. She married Billy Ray Allen, Sr. in Clayton. Later, they made their home in Midland then Odessa, where they raised their five sons. She worked as a court reporter and probation officer for Ector County until her retirement in 1997.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson: Mark Allen; and her twin sister.

Willa Dean is survived by five sons: Randy Allen and wife, Rusty Allen and wife Dulana, Billy Ray Allen, Jr and wife Susan, Terry Allen, and Carmen Allen and wife April; three sisters: Glennella Blue of Dumas, Luann Baker of Las Vegas, and Connie Castaneda of Santa Fe; brother: Phillip Gaillard of Tucson; five grandchildren: Brock, Austin, Melanie, Raymone (Duke), and Cheyenne Allen; six great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
