Theodore H. Meckstroth, 98, of 131 N. Perry Street. St. Marys died at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21, (1985) at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys, where he had been a patient for five years. He was born October 29, 1887, in Auglaize County, the son of Adolph and Anna Prueter Meckstroth. On June 10, 1920, he married Mary A. Schnarre, who survives. Survivors also include two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Norma) Lhamon of St. Marys, and Mrs. William (Eileen) Witt of Littleton, Colo.; one son, Carl Meckstroth of Scottsdale, Ariz; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the last living member of his family, having been preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters, Mr. Meckstroth was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, St. Marys. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, at Long and Folk Funeral Home's Yoder Chapel, St. Marys with Rev. Earl M. Vore officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
