Paul Howard Boswell, Sr., 95, of Yew Place, Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in the peace and love of his home. He was born in Carlisle, son of the late William Russell and Marie (Whiting) Boswell, a former employee of the Harrisburg School District, Lutheran Church of Mechanicsburg and Carlisle Tire and Rubber, a member of Wesley A.M.E. Church of Carlisle and also supported Faith Temple Holiness Church of God, a member of American Legion Ephraim Slaughter Post #733 and in his leisure, played the violin and worked on computers and he also enjoyed photography, model airplanes, kites, trains, cooking and baking.
Paul was the widower of Nellie Mae Watson Boswell and leaves to celebrate his life, his daughters, Lois M. Johnson, Evangelist Susan M. Thompson (Bishop Milton A. Thompson, Sr.) and Marian L. Stinson; his sons, Paul H. Boswell, Jr., all of Harrisburg; William Russell Boswell of Carlisle, Robert A. Boswell and Richard H. Boswell (Archerlina), both of Harrisburg; his sister, Carolyn Williams of Carlisle; his 25 grandchildren; his 50 great grands; his eight great-great grands and host of other relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated on Thursday, February 21 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with visitation 10:30 until 11 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
