Marathon, March 22 - The funeral of Mrs. Lewis Swift was held on Friday afternoon at the residence of Mr. Swift's daughter, Mrs. Walter A. Brink, on Academy St., Rev. J. L. Robertson of Cortland was present and preached a most excellent sermon. The choir of the Presbyterian church sang. The casket was completely covered.
The relatives present from out of town were Prof. Lewis Swift of California, the bereaved husband, Edward Swift of New Haven, Conn., Lewis Swift of Providence, R. I., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Swift of Richford, N. Y., sons of Mr. and Mrs. Swift, Mrs. Avla Stites a sister of deceased from Brooklyn, N. Y., Mrs. W. A. Stockwell and Mrs. E. M. Yager or Cortland. The funeral was under the direction of Undertaker Dellow.
