Mr. Glisson worked at Sparkler Filters for 30 years as a machinist, retiring in 2008. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1969 as a flight crew captain/mechanic. He attended FBC Grangerland and was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Donnie "Donna" Odle Glisson, his daughter Sheila Glisson Gay (Edward), his son James "Jimmy" Archie Glisson Jr., grandchildren Holly and Matthew Gay, and Zachary Maxie and his brother Charles L. Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Archie Glisson and Bertha Lorene Lindgram Glisson Baldwin, his step father Charles T. Baldwin, his daughter Sharon Glisson Maxie, and his brother Mitchell Ray Glisson.
