He was born in Bay City, Michigan and moved to this area 12 years ago from there.
He was a telephone company advertising salesman and a member of the Gulf Cove United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Englewood BPOE Elks Lodge and the VFW in El Jobean and the Easy-Does-It Club in Port Charlotte.
He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ione, Gulf Cove; two sons, Tim, Cadillac, Mich.; Don, Vista, Calif.; and 14 grandchilodren.
Memorial Services will be at the Gulf Cove United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 14 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Oakley officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gulf Cove United Methodist Church Building Fund.
