Harold Lonnie Hamm, 84, of Sanger, passed away in the presence of his loving family in Corinth, Texas. He was born on February 8, 1929 in Bloomington, Indiana to Lonnie and Zelma (Maderis) Hamm.

He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He married Edith Fay Hammons on November 1, 1975 in Denton, Texas. Harold was a member of the Odd Fellows in Indiana, the American Legion in Rockport for over 25 years, and the Lake Ray Roberts Elks Lodge. Harold served on the 1st city council for Krum, Texas and worked for Victor Equipment for 21 years until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Edith of Sanger; two daughters, Rhonda Ball of Sanger and Carla Gibson of Rockport; two sons, Russell Dean Hamm of Kruegerville and Timothy Michael Hamm of Denton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and of course his beloved dogs "Lil Bit" a jack russell and "Torrie" a rat terrier. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rebecca Jean Hamm and sister, Doris Skeen.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Coker Funeral Home and funeral services will be held at 10:00 am at the Freedom Life Church, 1609 Duck Creek Road, Sanger, Texas. Interment will be held at the Sanger Cemetery.
