Nancy (Abston) Dillie, 86, died February 24, 2005, at her son's residence after a brief illiness. She was born March 6, 1918, in Morehouse, Missouri, to John and Nina Blagg and lived in Anderson most of her life. She retired in 1973 from Delco Remy after 34 years. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 662 and served as a Pink Lady at Community Hospital.

She is survived by a son, living Abston of Anderson; a stepdaughter of Corvallis, Oregon; grandchildren, Carmen (husband, Brian) of Anderson and Teressa Harrod of Lexington, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Hanna, Jason, Katie and Andie. Also surviving is nephew, Dan (wife, Judy) Toles; niece, Carol (husband, Ron) Christopher; and special friends, Betty Guenthenspberger, Judy Day and Joan Graham.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice (Tharp) Cowan; son Charles "Chuck" Abston; first husband, Verlin "Jim" Abston; second husband, Ed Dillie; brothers, Stewart Blagg and C. D. Blagg; and sister, Evelyn Toles.

A special thanks to Community Hospice for all the special care given to Nancy.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Monday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Duty officiating. Visitation will be 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
