Air Force Tech Sgt Corlew was assigned to the Air Force's 16th Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field, Florida. Corlew was killed in the crash of a U.S. Air Force MC-130H Combat Talon II aircraft. As a child, Sean was fascinated with flying. He played with toy planes, read aviation books and as a teenager he took a job at Los Angeles International Airport fueling airplanes. After graduating from Newbury Park High School in Thousand Oaks, he joined the Air Force in 1985 and became a loadmaster, responsible for the plane's cargo. He had participated in U.S. involvement in Panama and many operations, including Just Cause, Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom. He was on his second assignment in Afghanistan when he was killed. He leaves behind his wife, Amy, and their two children. Sean had recently begun looking forward to time off. He talked of fishing, working around his house and playing with his son and daughter.
