Raymond B. Warner 89, of State Rt. 30A died Saturday,
October 11th at his home surrounded by his family.
Ray was born November 21, 1919 in Bramanville, NY a son of
Emerson H. and Clara S. (Turner) Warner.
He attended school in Bramanville and has lived in Sloansville
for the past 52 years.
He retired from the General Electric Co. in 1982 after 35 years
of service where he worked as a crane follower in the large motor
and generator division.
Upon his retirement, Ray worked for the Town of Esperance
as the operator of the transfer facility along with mowing several
lawns in the Sloansville area.
He was unofficially known as the Mayor of Sloansville.
He was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club, the Schoharie
Valley Gospel Church and the Schoharie County Democratic
Club.
Survivors include his wife, Doris J. (Reisinger) Warner
whom he married July 16, 1950, three children Richard A. (Sabrina)
Warner, of Sloansville, Diane F. (Peter) Pagan of Grosvenors
Corners and Michael T. Warner of Sloansville, one sister
Emma Keyser of Otego, one brother Newton Warner of Cape
Cod MA, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one son, Raymond Artie Warner in 1997
and several brothers.
