Gainesboro--Byrd Anderson, 78, retired farmer of the Flynn's Lick community, died Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Northrup, Gallatin.
Mr. Anderson had been making his home with Mrs. Northrup since the death of his wife, Mrs. Sybil Pruett Anderson, 19 months ago.
Funeral services were to be held this morning at Flynn's Creek Church of Christ.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Anderson was the son of the late William and Aletha Carter Anderson. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Other survivors include three sons, Bob Lee Anderson, Gallatin, Lloyd and Bedford Anderson, Flynn's Lick; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, P. J. Anderson, Gainesboro, and Mark Anderson, California; three sisters, Mrs. Tom Young, California, Mrs. Lex Ray, Hendersonville, and Mrs. Lim Ragland, Cookeville.
