Steven Lawrence Stone, age 36, of Odanah, passed away, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his home. He was born March 17, 1976 in Ashland, the son of Jeannie Stone and David "Butch" Stone.
Steven was a graduate of Ashland High School. He was an artist who enjoyed doing wood carvings, wood burning and many different kinds of drawings. He loved spending time with his children.
He is survived by his mother, Jeannie Stone; father, David "Butch" Stone; 6 children, Adrian Steven Wells-Stone, Destiney Stone, Mya Stone, Talon Stone, Ani Stone and Ci'onah Stone; partner, Pauline Ford; siblings, David "Punkin" (Lana Olby) Stone, Tanya (Shanon) Stone-Clark, Tyrone Stone, Victor Stone, Shannon Butler, Jessica Stone, Robert Powless and Shanna (Jose Smart) Powless; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, myna
A traditional Ojibwe service will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Bad River Community Center with Bobby Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Odanah cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 5:00 PM, on Wednesday, February 20th at the Bad River Community Center and continue until the time of service on Thursday.
