ESTEP Chauncey Junior Estep, 79, former resident of Elm Grove, WV, died Sat., July 13, 2002 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH. He was born January 31, 1923 in Woodville, WV, the son of the late Chauncey D. and Valeria Vickers Estep. He was a retired sheet metal worker and former owner of CJs Appliance Store in Valley Grove. He was a member of the former First Freewill Baptist Church and a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Parkersburg, WV. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a Korean Conflict veteran, in which he received the Purple Heart. He was a former member of Elm Grove Lions Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Claire Sue Tyras Estep; a brother, James Thurmond; and two sisters, Bernice Darrah & Dorothy Williams. Surviving are a son, David M. Estep of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Linda) Nedeff of Vienna, WV; a brother, William Estep of Elm Grove, WV; a sister, Bervyl Burke of Moundsville; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
