Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Ola Welch, 95, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Denton Rehab Center. She was born December 14, 1917 in Marysville, Texas to Richard R. and Dona (Sharp) Tucker. Ola married Cecil W. Welch December 18, 1935 in Muenster, Texas. She worked with Cecil on their family dairy farm and also had worked in sales at the Sewing Center. Mrs. Welch was a member of the Hood Community Improvement Club, and Era United Methodist Church. Ola loved to sew and do handwork.

Funeral services for Ola Welch are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, February 16th at Era United Methodist Church with Rev. Rich McGee and Rev. Larry Kruger officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Friday evening at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville. Pallbearers will be Mark Luebke, Michael Luebke, Bryan Hammons, Allen Welch, Dan Orr and Don Garner. Al Smith, Jerry Lewis, Lanny Lewter, Joe Weber, William Charles Welch, John Welch, Lee Gano and Charles Smith will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Survivors of Ola Welch include, daughter, Wanda and husband, John; daughter, Patricia and husband, Leroy; son, C.W. and wife, Sue; sister, Ruby Nell; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four-great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dona Tucker; husband, Cecil Welch; daughter Elaine Herr and her husband, Melvin; grandson, Charles Mitchell and twelve siblings.
