Thomas L. Spade, 43, 311 1/2 Smith Street, Jersey Shore, died Thursday at Williamsport General Hospital.

Born October 12, 1933, in Danville, he was a son of Ruth Purpur, Danville, and the late Francis Spade.

He was employed as a quality control technician at Mead and Johnson for a number of years.

He was a member of the Catholic Church and Elks Club in Jersey Shore, the Knights of Columbus of Danville, and the American Legion in Jersey Shore.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Ella Bilby, to whom he was married in January; two brothers, James Spade, Harrisburg, and John Spade, Troy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Danville, with burial following in the parish cemetery, under the direction of the John J. Brady Funeral Home, Danville.

No viewing will be held Sunday evening.
